walk by faith

Very recently an opportunity came about in my life. Something I’ve been waiting for but not quite ready for. Something that I know I should have been preparing for, but I’ve just been procrastinating. Quite frankly I think its cause it’s scary, its unknown and its really hard work! I decided to sit with God and pray about whether it was the right time to make this move or not. As I was spending time with him I believe the Holy Spirit told me “you have to live this faith thing out Larissa! How can you minister to others, especially encouraging the youth to not fear if you aren’t living it out yourself every day and taking chances yourself?” I had to be reminded once again that it is not all about me! I have to be brave and let my life be an example of how God can use an ordinary person for his glory when he has called them to do something. I had to walk by faith!

I was encouraged as he reminded me that he will meet me wherever he wants me to go. This is my command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9. If something is part of his plan/purpose for your life, then he is going to give you grace to do it! Think of how awesome it will feel the day you look back and see how far you have come, how God worked in your life and all that was accomplished because you said yes to him and did it afraid anyways because you trusted his plan.

God wants us to step out in faith and do what he has asked us to do even when it seem scary and its unknown. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do 2 Thessalonians 1:11. The only way we fail is if we don’t get out of our own way and we don’t try! If we want to see the miracles, then we need to make the faith move! The enemy is the one that makes us feel afraid and unsure. God has not given us the spirit of fear, so we need to fight the enemy as he tries to attack us and tries to stop us from making the moves God is asking us to make in faith. For God has not given us the spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline 2 Timothy 1:7.

So, get your butt up, stand tall, tell the enemy to back off because you’ve got major faith moves to make! One day you will be able to look back in amazement at all that was done to glorify God. It will then make sense to you why God told you to do what he told you to do. Your obedience is all it takes for you to begin to see God work miracles all around you! Push through then and watch God work! Walk by faith! Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created Esther 4:14.
