Have you ever had an experience where you go somewhere, and people already know about you? They’ve already been talking and have heard all about who you are?
A similar situation happened to two spies sent by Joshua to the land of Jericho (Joshua 2). The two spies were hidden by a prostitute named Rehab. She told them that she knew the Lord had given them that land. She told them that all the people of Jericho were afraid of them (the Israelites) and had been living in terror. They had all heard of all the things the Lord had done for the Israelites including making a dry path through the Red Sea and all the people that have been destroyed.
It is interesting that we can enter a situation completely unaware that we have the upper hand because the one we serve reigns supreme. They will know about you because of who you belong to! So why worry, stress, feel unsure, unqualified or just not strong enough? They already know about you because God already went ahead of you and told them who you are!
