Slapping on a Band-Aid Won’t Really Heal You

Healing from hurt can be difficult. Ever get a wound that was so bad and painful that you just didn’t want to mess with it? So instead you cover it up with a bandage so that you don’t have to deal with it or feel the pain. You just hoped that it would heal while it was covered up! Well, unfortunately, covering it up is a temporary fix that’s really not going to do much for the healing process. In fact, it might actually get worse and become infected! Ever have one of those moments where all of a sudden you doubt your abilities, start to feel inadequate or distracted in life? Well this just recently happened to me. One minute I was feeling excited about what Gods doing through me and was making major moves, then the next moment I felt like I was freaking out, thinking I can’t do this and that I am not worthy of this work! The enemy is really good at messing with our minds! He gets into our thoughts and likes to twist Gods promises for our lives so that we become crippled with fear or stagnant with doubt, ultimately stopping us from living out Gods promises for our life. My Life Has Fallen Apart

When everything has fallen apart in life you may find yourself asking: Is there even hope for me? Do I give up? How to keep going? I know this feeling all too well. I’ve been there! I’ve been in seasons where your whole life appears to have fallen apart, you feel hopeless as if it has to be a nightmare! You cry out to God, feel hurt, angry and feel as if He’s abandoned you. You may find yourself thinking, how could He allow this to happen to me, I’m a good person, why me? These are all feelings based on our human logic, but our God is so grand and mysterious that His ways may not appear logical to us.
